New way to relieve frustration while drivingJuly 15th, 2006 - 3:53 pmSo I was driving up the 101 today and was getting fed up by the number of people that cut in front of traffic by driving up to the front of an exit lane and then cutting over back onto the freeway. Having sat in traffic for 3 hours today, desperate to find a solution to this problem, I think I figured out what I’m going to do. Honking doesn’t do any good. Neither does giving the finger. Here is my solution: baseballs! I’m going to stock up my car with a bucket full of baseballs. From now on, whenever a car cuts in front of me, I’m going to pull up along side of them, roll down my window, and chuck a baseball at them! Whether it cracks their window, breaks it, or even hits them in the face, I figure it would serve as a little payback that would make me feel just a little bit better, and would prevent me from dreading driving in traffic! I mean, honestly, how are they going to provide evidence in court that it was me that threw the ball at them? Yes, I think it’s an ingenious idea. Make money, lose weight!June 21st, 2006 - 4:36 pmThings are so excited for me right now! First of all, I just did a bunch of jobs so now I’m starting to get money in from them. One thing that is really exciting is making money through ad revenue! I just got a check for some ad revenue made through myspacepictures.net. All that hard work has paid off and will continue to do so. A verse of encouragementJune 15th, 2006 - 12:26 pmI was reading Proverbs 15 today and came across verse 9. It’s pretty cool, so I thought I’d share it here: The word that got me in this verse is “persue.” God doesn’t only love those who are totally godly, but also those who simply persue it. This is a relief to me, because I know I’m not the perfect person (not even close - and you all know that). I’m constantly messing up. I guess it’s just a relief to know that God still loves us even if we mess up a million times, as long as we are honestly persuing godliness. I think that this verse is a little different than just talking about grace. We all know God has grace on us. I think the concept of grace is a little more basic than this. This goes a step further to say that even us Christians that mess up a lot - don’t get down on yourself. Just persue God with your motives and He’ll love you for your heart. Vanguard at Carnegie Hall!May 27th, 2006 - 11:20 amVanguard Concert Choir just finished our portion here in Carnegie Hall and I must say, we sounded pretty darn good! Conversion of Saul and My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord sounded amazing and all of our hard work over the past few months has paid off. We were amazing and I must say, I was pretty impressed by how good we sounded! Well, off to go sing the third segment! « Previous Entries All Content ©2006 Soundlight Productions.
